Abstract

Introduction. Uterine rupture is complete or incomplete non-surgical termination of the wall of the pregnant uterus. Indeed, it is a formidable obstetric affection whose maternal and fetal prognosis is poor in terms of morbidity and mortality. Objective. Study the epidemio-clinical and therapeutic aspects of uterine rupture at the Fousseyni Daou Hospitol in Kayes. Results. The frequency of uterine rupture was 0.3%. The average age of parturients was 29 years. Parturients had been evacuated in 78.74% of cases. Prolonged work was the first reason for evaluation with a frequency of 14.2%. Uterine scars were the first risk factor with 27.6%. Complete uterine ruptures represented 81% and the seat was segmentaire in 69.8%. Hysterroraphy was performed in 75.6% of
parturients. The evolution  was favorable in 59.52% of cases and anemia was the main posoperative complication with 34.1%. The maternal death rate was 7.9% and the fetal death rate was 74.6%. Conclusion. Uterine rupture is an obstetrical-surgical emergency whose prognosis depends on the speed of diagnosis and management.
