Otorhinolaryngological affections during pregnancy. study of 72 cases at the Conakry university hospital

Abstract
Introduction : The purpose of this work was to study the epidemiological, clinical and therapeutic characteristics of ENT conditions in pregnant women at Conakry UHC.
Materials and Methods : This is a prospective study of a descriptive type, lasting six months (April - September 2017). It concerned pregnant women admitted for ENT pathology to the ENT and maternity departments of the Ignace Deen National Hospital during the study period.
Results : During our study period, 1212 pregnant women were admitted to the 2 departments, 72 of whom had a condition ENT is a frequency of 5.94%. The age group 21 to 25 was the most affected or 41.7% with an average agewas 25.5 years 4.7. Students were the most affected socio-professional category at 33.33%. The majority of pregnant women had consulted for nasal obstruction and headache, or 55.5%.Allergic rhinitis was the most common pathology at 33.33%. Management was dominated by hygieno-dietary measures and advice (97.2%) and local care (73.6%).
Conclusion : ENT conditions during pregnancy are relatively common in our current practice. Their management is multidisciplinary.
